At a moment when multistakeholder spaces for Internet governance are under increasing strain, and states are turning back toward unilateral and sovereignty-centered approaches, this workshop seeks to reflect on the future of Internet freedom as a global normative and institutional project. We invite proposals that examine the erosion, transformation, or resilience of collaborative governance models across regions and institutions, as well as emerging strategies to defend openness, rights, interoperability, and democratic participation online. We welcome the presentation of ongoing projects, drafts, papers, research initiatives and open questions that would benefit from open and horizontal discussions. Contributions from scholars, practitioners, civil society actors, technologists, and policymakers are especially welcome.
